FOODIE/FOOD * Holiday Food Gifts

During recent holiday season, among other gifts, I had received three different holiday food gifts. Each one of the gift had different theme and each item in the food gift really complemented one another. I always treat any holiday food gifts as indication for me to relax, enjoying the food, and feeling festive.

Food Gift #1 – Basket of Cookies

The cookies came from cookies by design. It is such a nice cookie-bouquet, isn’t it? There were two dozen of cookies in the basket plus two holiday theme cookies. The cookies were divine and it was so soft and delicious, just like homemade cookies. The assortments of cookies in the basket were chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, sugar cookies, and snicker doodle cookies. You could never go wrong giving cookies as gifts because anyone can enjoy the cookies.

Food Gift #2 – Snacks Treats Theme from Trader Joe’s

I love doing groceries at Trader Joe’s. It is a great place to do one stop groceries shopping. The selection of the merchandise is awesome and the price is reasonable. From snacks to produce to all-out meals, you will find what you are looking for and at decent price. The store is very well-organized. Everyone that works there is very friendly, helpful, and polite. When you are at the register, the cashier always tries creating conversation with you.

I was very excited when I found out that inside the gift bag were items from Trader Joe’s. This was one very neat, creative, practical, and thoughtful snack gift theme since everything could be served as one set of snacks whenever I would have morning or afternoon snack or when guests coming over or for movie/TV nights.

  1. Macadamias mix Gingerly with Cranberries & Almonds
  2. Eggnog Covered Almonds
  3. Chocolate Rings with Sprinkles
  4. Candy Cane Green Tea Decaffeinated

This combination is such one excellent idea for food gifts. Honestly, I had copied this idea and bought the same items to make it as one set for holiday gifts to others. The combination is very unique since these snacks only available during holiday season.

Food Gift #3 – Soup Theme

Another food gift that I had received during the holiday was the showcase of soup theme. The surprise was that it’s all gluten-free food. I have been going gluten-free for around one and half year. Soup is a perfect meal during cold winter night.

  1. Brad’s Organic = Hot Tea 2-Go – Organic White Tea
  2. Mary’s Gone Crackers = Organic Wheat-Free Gluten-Free Herb Crispy Crackers
  3. Pacific Natural Foods = Organic Cashew Carrot Ginger Bisque
  4. Pacific Natural Foods = Organic Hearty Tomato Bisque

This combination was one perfect meal. Both soups were tasty and satisfying. It went perfect with the crackers.  The crackers main ingredients are Organic Short Grain Brown Rice, Organic Whole Quinoa, Organic Brown Flax Seeds, and Organic Brown Sesame Seeds. The cracker is very crispy, crunchy, tasty, and it has a great texture and flavor.

How do you go about holiday food gift ideas?  Creativity and thinking practical is the key.
